PROJECT 1: URBAN OUTFITTERS BOOKLET
Objective:
For this project, I designed a booklet to advertise an imaginary campaign for the company of my choosing—Urban Outfitters.
Approach:
Since I was working with a company that has an established branding, I had to work within confines to preserve the aesthetics. For this project, my theme was back-to-school/fall time. I took inspiration from UO's website, as well as fashion magazines from the early 2000s (which I grew up obsessing over). One thing I specifically wanted to do with this book is to give it a purpose; so I specially designed a quiz and added several styling tips to make it into a mini-magazine. Finally, Urban Outfitters doesn’t just sell clothes, they're advertising a lifestyle, and that's what I wanted to showcase in my booklet.
